Hamas spokesman in the Gaza Strip, Ismail Abu Jad, said Thursday that the group would release kidnapped IDF soldier, Cpl. Gilad Shalit only after Israel released high-ranking Palestinian officials and prisoners.
Hamas would not compromise this demand, regardless of what the consequences would be, Abu Jad said in a protest next to the Red Cross headquarters in Gaza.
