Hamas says Gilad Schalit won't be part of any truce deal

Hamas said Tuesday that captured IDF soldier Gilad Schalit will not be included in any truce deal with Israel. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman on Monday that Schalit must be released as part of any cease-fire. Hamas-affiliated terrorists captured Schalit in an attack on an army base in 2006. Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar said Tuesday that the group would not "offer Schalit for free" and his release is not related to truce talks.
