Sources in the defense establishment said Wednesday morning that the IDF will retaliate with force in Gaza if mortar and rocket fire continue to be launched into Israel. In an interview with Army radio Wednesday morning, Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Chairman Tzahi Hanegbi said: "At the moment there should be a simple equation hovering above Hamas. If they restart [the rocket fire], we will retaliate with such force as to make them miss December 27 when Israel began its first phase of Operation Cast Lead which saw massive aerial bombings."
