Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee head Tzahi Hanegbi (Kadima) criticized on Monday morning the decision to allow Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine leader Nayef Hawatmeh into Israel, saying that "Israel does not forgive a murderer of Israelis." In an interview with Israel Radio, Hanegbi called the IDF's decision to avoid pursuing Fatah operatives in the West Bank "a calculated risk." On President Shimon Peres's statement that Israel must quit the PA territories, Hanegbi said it was "an unsuccessful remark."
