Finance Minister Avraham Hirchson said Thursday that the 2007 state budget demonstrated "compassion and understanding of the hardship of no small sector of the population." Speaking to heads of local industry at a conference in Tel Aviv, Hirchson said that "Israel had already changed its social policy." "The work won't be done in a day - it's a long process that needs to be discussed constantly and addressed daily," Hirchson continued.
