IDF colonel seriously injured during parachute training near Ashdod

An IDF colonel was injured Sunday night during parachute training near Ashdod. An IAF helicopter called from a nearby base evacuated the man to Tel Hashomer's Sheba Medical Center for medical treatment, where he remained in a serious condition.
The army opened an investigation into the incident.
