IDF began shooting artillery fire toward the Gaza fields from which two Kassam rockets were fired on Monday afternoon. While politicians have called for a harsher response to the rocket fire, the latest barrage is a continuation of the same tactic used as a response since the pullout in August.
The two Kassams that fell Monday afternoon landed in open areas in western Negev kibbutzes. The rockets were reported to be exceptionally long - some estimated that they were as long as one-and-a-half meters.
