IDF Judge Advocate-General Brig.-Gen. Avi Mandelblit ordered the army to launch a military police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Naifa Muhammad Hussein Abu Masoud, a 25-year-old shepherd killed by IDF troops on February 13, near the Gaza Strip security fence.
Mandelblit decided to launch the investigation after studying the case and concluding that there was a possibility the IDF opened fire against instructions.
