IDF troops at the Hawara checkpoint foiled a terrorist attack on Monday night, Army Radio reported.
A Palestinian man tried to escape to a getaway car after soldiers found three improvised explosive devices on him during a search at the checkpoint south of Nablus.
Soldiers then followed procedures and opened fire on the man, hitting and lightly wounding him. He was taken to a hospital in Nablus.
The explosives were safely detonated by Border Police sappers.
Last week, a Palestinian was caught with two pipe bombs at the same checkpoint. An IDF sapper safely detonated the bombs and the Palestinian was taken for questioning.
