In midst of heat wave, travelers advised to stay indoors

The Israel Nature & National Parks Protection Authority is warning those traveling not to go hiking in the Judaean Desert or in the western Negev because of severe heat conditions.
Those who nonetheless decide to travel to these areas are advised to go sites with shade, where running water is readily available, and to follow a strict hydration schedule.
Due to the serious heat wave, rescue units and fire fighting units are on higher levels of readiness.
