Israel commemorates soldiers killed in its defense

Israel will commemorate on Tuesday its 22,123 soldiers who fell in support of the state. After a two-minute siren that will be sounded at 11 a.m., state ceremonies will commence at the nation's 43 military cemeteries and at the beduin soldiers' monument in the north. At 1 p.m. a ceremony will be held at Mt. Herzl commemorating those killed by acts of terrorism.
