Jerusalem police raid DFLP office

Police on Monday raided an east Jerusalem office belonging to the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine and detained five people suspected of illegally campaigning for the upcoming Palestinian parliamentary elections. Police said that during the raid on the office, it found an array of electoral material for the organization. The move comes a day after police shut down another east Jerusalem premises being used by Hamas as an election campaign office. The government has forbidden all Palestinian terrorist organizations from campaigning in east Jerusalem.
