Reverend Jesse Jackson arrived in Israel on Wednesday and met the families of the three kidnapped IDF soldiers.
Jackson told the families of Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev that the two soldiers captured by Hizbullah were alive. "I cannot give details of the conversations but I heard optimistic reports of the welfare of the soldiers held in captivity, " he said.
Family members met the reverend at Ben Gurion Airport after Jackson met with Hizbullah members and with Lebanese leaders in Beirut.
