Livni: Israel must continue to fight terror, even during peace talks

Israel will continue to fight terror in the West Bank, even as talks between the Jewish State and the Palestinian Authority continue, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said on Monday. "As foreign minister I've said in the past, whenever Israel is required to fight for its security, it must do that - even at the price of international criticism," Livni said during a tour of the West Bank. Livni added, however, that Israel must remain sensitive to the Palestinian population. "The security establishment must understand that whenever they can ease the [lives] of the Palestinians without endangering security, they must do this because it serves Israel's interests," she said.
