MK Ze'ev Elkin leaving Kadima: 'Party pursuing extreme left ideas'
By JPOST.COM STAFF
Kadima MK Ze'ev Elkin has notified party leader Tzipi Livni of his intention to leave the party, Israel Radio reported Sunday.
In a letter to Livni, Elkin expressed "deep disappointment" in the manner in which she and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert had run Kadima and the country, saying the party had become a leftist party that pursues "extreme left ideas."
Elkin was reportedly examining the possibility of joining one of the Knesset's right-wing parties.
