Minister-without- Portfolio Ghaleb Majadle of Labor called on Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Friday to order the cessation of construction of a new bridge to the Mughrabi Gate leading to the Al-Akasa mosque at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Majadle suggested allowing Wakf representatives and the Israel Antiquities Authority to reach an agreement on the scale of work that need to be done there. "We must act out of agreement from all sides," said Israel's first ever Arab minister," adding, "one regrettable act could lead to an explosion."
