Messer's lawyer: Police sometimes err

Following the police recommendation to indict Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's close associate and former law partner Uri Messer for his part in the alleged corruption case against the prime minister, Messer's lawyer, Tvi Agmon, denied the allegations against his client. Agmon said that he was familiar with and respected the work of police, but that "they sometimes err, like in this case," Israel Radio reported. Police recommended indicting Messer on charges of helping Olmert receive bribes and commit fraud in the Talansky cash-envelopes case.
