Mob kingpin suspected of stabbing police witness

Alleged underworld kingpin Yaakov Alperon and his 17-year-old son were suspected Tuesday of being behind the stabbing of Amir Mulner, the police's lead witness against the crime organization, in the Daniel Hotel in Herzliya. Alperon and his son were thought to have originally met up with Mulner in order to discuss their differences. After the dialogue broke down, either Alperon or his son allegedly stabbed Mulner, who was lightly wounded in the incident.
