Israel Railways opened a new passenger line to and from Dimona. Five daily trains will link travelers to Beersheba, where they can take an express line to Tel Aviv.
The initial travel time will be an hour and a half, but after additional tracks are laid the time will be cut down to 60 minutes.
For the next two weeks, the "introductory" ticket price will be a mere five shekels, Army Radio reported.
