'No sufficient evidence against PM in political appointments scandal'

No sufficient evidence has yet been found to prove criminal activity on the part of the prime minister from his time as industry, trade and labor minister, a source close to the investigation was quoted by Israel Radio as saying Thursday.
The investigation concerns allegations that Olmert made political appointments in the Small Businesses Authority when he headed the ministry under prime minister Ariel Sharon.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister's Office vehemently denied a Channel 2 report detailing the alleged political appointments.
