Kidnapped soldier's father calls on public to join procession.

The day before the procession for kidnapped soldier Gilad Schalit sets out from his family's home in Mitzpe Hila in the Western Galilee towards Jerusalem, Noam Schalit called out Saturday to members of the public to ask them to join."I call to the public that thinks the time has come to bring back Gilad's, who has been rotting away in captivity for four years, to join us with their feet," said Noam.RELATED:Steinitz: Marches won't free SchalitColosseum lights shut for SchalitHowever, Noam was not confident of the public support his continued efforts to free his son would receive and whether it would sway the government.He said, "I see no reason for optimism. First we will do and then we will see. If everyone who says they will come, comes - then we will be alright.Gilad Schalit was kidnapped 4 years ago by Hamas and has been held captive in The Gaza Strip.The procession will begin Sunday morning, will last 12 days and cover a distance of 250 kilometers, going from town to town until arriving at the protest tent for the kidnapped soldier outside Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s residence in Jerusalem. The family is expected to be joined by thousands of Israelis.In preperation for the march which will take place Sunday the Schalit family was busy packing and also checking that their neighbors will look after the house while they are away.
