Communities along the northern border decided on Sunday not to pay taxes until compensation owed to them for damages they suffered during the war in Lebanon are paid.
Community representatives announced that they would not pay the municipal and water taxes until they are compensated. The Israel Tax Authority said in response that the issue was "complex", though half the claims have already been taken care of, Israel Radio reported.
