Prime Minister's Office Director-General Ra'anan Dinur and Defense Ministry Director-General Pinhas Buchris will in two weeks conduct their first tour of the Israel-Egypt border to examine arrangements for the construction of a border fence, Israel Radio reported Monday.
According to the plan, the fence will be built in two sections: a 70-kilometer-long section in the Eilat region and a 14-kilometer section in the Nitzana area.
A defense official said that the planned tour showed that the government was serious about constructing the fence.
