Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is creating three more "Ron Arad cases" by failing to advance negotiations for the release of abducted soldiers Ehud Goldwasser, Eldad Regev and Gilad Schalit, Goldwasser's mother Miki said Monday night. "Olmert, you'd like to be seen as someone who wants to free the abducted [soldiers] without paying the price, and in this way you will be remembered as a man who brought upon Israel three more Ron Arad cases," she said. Goldwasser was speaking at an event organized by Hebrew University students to enlist volunteers to the three soldiers' cause. Addressing the attendees, she said the argument that freeing prisoners would encourage more kidnappings was an excuse. "When they did not pay the price [to free] Ron Arad, soldiers' abductions continued," she said. She added that Israeli citizens' lack of faith in the system was one of the reasons many youths were evading army service.
