Three Palestinian terrorists were killed and one was wounded on Sunday night in an IAF strike near the home of Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, in Gaza's Shati refugee camp, Palestinians reported.
The target of the air strike was a car in which two Palestinian terror operatives were traveling, the IDF said.
One of men targeted in the joint IDF-Shin Bet (Israel Security Service) operation was Nidal Amudi, a senior Aksa Martyrs Brigades operative involved in Kassam rocket attacks on Sderot, according to the IDF.
The other was PRC operative Maher Navhouh, the army said.
The attack took place close to a post in which Haniyeh's security guards were stationed. However, the army said that the IAF strike was not linked to the Hamas leader.
Shin Bet head Yuval Diskin told the cabinet earlier Sunday that the army had killed 1,000 terrorists in the Gaza Strip over the last two years.
