"Palestinians could have had own Independence Day"

Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said Monday that if the Palestinians had accepted the concept of a two state solution they would have already celebrated several Independence Days of their own. "Unfortunately, they [the Palestinians] have made the wrong decisions," said Livni during a meeting with ambassadors from Far East Asia. The Japanese ambassador told Livni that his country would make direct efforts to improve Israel's relations with Far East Asian Islamic states. Livni promised to pay a visit to the region in the upcoming year.
