Labor Party Chairman Amir Peretz telephoned to Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert early Wednesday morning to congratulate him on his victory in Tuesday's elections. The two discussed plans to meet in the coming days, as Peretz was expected to be the cornerstone of Olmert's coalition.
Likud Chairman Binyamin Netanyahu also called Olmert Wednesday morning, but the two did not apparently discuss any plans to hold talks.
