Police revealed on Wednesday that the day high-profile prisoner Yonatan Alzam was murdered in his cell, he had been visited by two men with police records, Army Radio said.
Following interrogation, the two men were released from police custody.
For his own protection, Alzam, who was due to testify against known criminal Shimon Zirhan in a murder case, had been kept in solitary confinement for his own protection.
