The Haifa District Court on Monday acquitted a local psychiatrist accused of performing indecent acts on a 15-year-old boy he was treating.
Dr. Marcelo Shpitz has claimed that the accusations were false, brought on by a psychotic attack that the patient suffered.
The judge declared Shpitz innocent since there were no other witnesses to the incident, and because the psychiatrist's guilt could not be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
