Report: Likud and NRP to discuss possible merger

Close associates of Likud chairman Binyamin Netanyahu are examining the possibility of merging with the National Religious Party (NRP) to form a joint right wing list that would run in the March 28 elections. According to Army Radio, both sides have discussed the issue in the past and have now decided to resume talks. Netanyahu, the report stated, had even discussed the matter with NRP leader Zevulun Orlev.
