Sewage was discovered Wednesday in the only unpolluted part of the Yarkon River, between its source at Rosh Ha'ayin and Yarkonim Junction.
The sewage, which was seemingly from Rosh Ha'ayin and Kfar Kassem, flowed into the water as a result of a malfunction in the sewage system of the two suburbs.
The Yarkon River Authority was working to try and allocate the specific spot of the contamination and stop the sewage leak.
