Sharon postpones Knesset vote on new appointments

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon announced on Monday afternoon that he would postpone presenting his new cabinet appointments to the Knesset for approval. The appointments were supposed to be brought for a vote on Monday, but they will only be finalized next week, Sharon told those assembled at the Likud faction meeting. "Yesterday Michael Eitan asked me to delay the vote on the appointments by a week," Sharon explained. "He said he would make an effort to pass it… I told them I accept the delay for a week."
