Police began an investigation on Thursday against Meir Barns, a Tiberias resident who threatened to attack Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. In a printed announcement sent to Army Radio, the man warned he would attempt to strike if he would receive such an instruction from the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson, whom he called the "Messiah and king."
