"Israel has turned into a hotbed of racism," said MK Ahmad Tibi (UAL) on Sunday, adding that "the racists and the mobs" had entered the Knesset and the government. In an interview with the east Jerusalem-based Al-Quds newspaper, Tibi said Palestine belonged to its original Arab inhabitants and "not to its Jewish occupiers who came from all over the world, destroyed the Arab villages and expelled their residents." He said that the story of the Nakba (catastrophe ) must be taught in Israeli schools so that the Jewish pupils know how the state was established.
