'Tourism Ministry Aleph' to file civil suit against Katsav

One of the claimants in the sexual crimes case against former president Moshe Katsav is planning to file a civil suit against him, it was reported Wednesday. In an interview with Channel 10, the complainant, known as Tourism Ministry Aleph, spoke of her "bewilderment" at the plea bargain which left out of the final indictment the most severe charges against the former president. She said if the case would have been brought to the court and the judges would have heard her testimony, Katsav would have "certainly got the maximum prison sentence." In the interview, 'Tourism Ministry Aleph' described how she was raped by the former president and said she wanted the public to understand that there was a "huge gap' between the charges in the amended indictment and the "monster" Katsav is.
