Jerusalem police on Friday arrested two Israeli twin brothers suspected of forging and distributing tens of thousands of US dollars, police said. The two men, residents of Ashkelon, were apprehended after selling an undercover police officer $70,000 in forged bills for NIS 70,000, Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said. The two suspects were remanded in custody for five days late Friday by the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court.
