The Eilat police department was investigating Tuesday whether a US resident, who was arrested this week by immigration authorities, was behind the series of criminally indecent acts and sexual attacks inflicted upon children throughout the city. Each of the ten incidents involved an older man with scars on his face meeting children in public parks, luring them with sweets and then committing the indecent acts. The alleged perpetrator, who was wanted by the FBI for acts of pedophilia, was thought to have escaped to Israel, Army Radio reported. The man was transferred for interrogation by the Eilat police department.
