Yesh Din: New settlement info implicates government

Israeli human rights group Yesh Din says it will use a newly leaked government report on West Bank settlements to help Palestinians sue the government for damages. The group said Friday that the report shows the government was complicit in illegal construction on land owned by Palestinians. Yesh Din said it would make the information available to Palestinians who wish to file lawsuits and will also offer them legal assistance. The leaked government report contains a Defense Ministry database of information on settlements. It shows that in three out of every four settlements in the West Bank, some construction was conducted without proper permits.
