Chesley named new JNF president

The Jewish National Fund announced Monday that long-time board member Stanley M. Chesley of Cincinnati, OH, has been elected the next president of the organization. Philanthropist Ronald S. Lauder will fill the newly created position of Chairman of the Board. Lauder was recently elected President of the World Jewish Congress after 10 years as JNF president. Both were elected unanimously at the Board of Trustees' Monday meeting, representing over 600,000 donors nationwide. They will be inaugurated at the organization's annual National Conference in New York, October 14-15.
