Hizbullah: Int'l force harms Lebanon's sovereignty

Political advisor to the Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah, Hussein Al-Halil, said on Thursday that the decision of the government in Beirut to allow a multi-national force to deploy on the Lebanese coast "damaged Lebanon's sovereignty" and called the move "unnecessary." Israel Radio reported that, according to Al-Halil, Hizbullah had agreed for UNIFIL to assist the Lebanese Army only when necessary and that the movement had stated that if Europe was interested in offering its assistance, "it could do so by donating money and supplies to Lebanon."
