The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Deputy Commander General Hossein Salami declared in a speech aired on Iranian TV that the group will destroy America, Israel and all its allies.
In the talk, which was shown on February 19 and translated from Arabic to English by Middle East Media Research Institute, Salami said that “America, too, is distressed today. It does not have the appearance of a world power at all. America, too, has been defeated.”
He said that his fighters were not “created for this world” but meant to wage Jihad, a Muslim holy war, and “cleanse the planet from the filth of their existence.”
“We shall fight them on the global level, not just in one spot,” he said. “Our war is not a local war. We have plans to defeat the world powers. We are planning to break America, Israel, and their partners and allies.”
IRGC is tasked with preserving the Islamic Republic of Iran and the ideals of the 1979 revolution. It is also Iran’s main link to its terrorist proxies, which the regime uses to boost Iran’s global influence.
Hossein Salami is an IRGC Brigadier general, who currently serves as the second-in-command of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
“We will break our enemy,” Salami added. “We have decided to do so. We have a plan. We are organized and motivated. We have faith. We have martyrdom. We have Jihad.”
