Interpol chief: Pakistan shares files of 169 al-Qaida terrorist suspects

Interpol's chief Ronald Noble says Pakistani authorities recently shared files with identity information and photos of 169 of the most wanted terrorist suspects belonging to al-Qaida and its affiliates in Pakistan.
Noble spoke Wednesday at the opening of a two-day anti-terrorism conference hosted by Syria's interior ministry, at which 28 Mideast and North African countries are taking part. The meeting aims to bolster international cooperation in anti-terrorism.
The US is not attending. Syria is on the State Department's list of countries accused of sponsoring terrorism.
Noble said that now all 186 Interpol member countries have access to the files of over 8,900 suspected terrorists, compared to the 2,030 names the organization had in 2002.
