Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak telephoned Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Friday evening to send his best wishes to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. Mubarak said he hoped Sharon would recover.
Mubarak also expressed hope that Egypt and Israel would continue to work together, and he and Olmert agreed to stay in contact in the near future, Army Radio reported.
