In an interview with CNN Tuesday Saudi Foreign Minister Saudi al-Faisal said that, while the world was interested in preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, it turns a blind eye when it comes to the nuclear technology that Israel already possesses. When asked about how the US should approach the Iranian nuclear crisis Faisal said that nuclear non-proliferation agreements should bind everyone. He added that Israel obtained nuclear technology while the world was looking the other way. Faisal stated that his country wished for the entire region to be nuclear-free and hoped that the Iranians would follow suit.
