Turk shot by Egyptians while trying to sneak into Israel dies of wounds

A Turkish man shot by Egyptian border police as he tried to illegally cross into Israel died of his wounds Friday, a hospital official said. The Turkish national was attempting to cross into Israel on Thursday along with six members of his family when guards called on him to stop, according to security officials. When he did not comply and continued trying to cross the barbed wire marking the border, the guards opened fire, shooting him in the head, the officials said.
