An eight-year-old boy from Gaza who was seriously injured by an IDF mortar shell was transferred to an Israeli hospital on Wednesday.

The strike, which followed a series of mortar launches that landed in Israeli territory, was aimed at the launch site. The IDF shells apparently struck an area close to a home and playground, where the terrorists had used as a launch pad.
Palestinians reported that four people – aged 58, 12, 16 and 17 – were killed in the strike.
The IDF said that the Southern Command was investigating the incident,
but stressed that Hamas was responsible for choosing to operate from
within populated areas.
