Social justice activists to mark year since protests
Thousands expected to take part in marches, rallies across the country; central events in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem.

Several thousand people were expected to march through central Tel Aviv on Saturday evening to mark a year since the first tents were pitched on Rothschild Boulevard as part of the social justice protest movement that began last summer.The central march will begin at Habima Square and finish with a large rally outside the government offices on Kaplan Street. An additional procession, being dubbed the "Million Man March," will also take place along the boardwalk in the city from Gordon Beach to Charles Chlore Park.A number of other protests were also expected to take place around the country, with one of the largest outside Tel Aviv being held in Jerusalem. The procession will begin at Menorah Park, which is also known as Horse Park and will end at the Knesset.Daphne Leef and other social protest activists demonstrated in Bnei Brak on Thursday night and called on the Haredi public to join the protest against the cost of living."Haredim and secular people refuse to be enemies," the social justice protesters chanted.
