Elliot, Galgut take control in Int’l Pairs qualifying

24 teams to battle it out for final of “International Pairs” tournament chosen at the Ga’ash Golf Club.

The 24 teams to battle it out for the final of the “International Pairs” tournament were chosen at the Ga’ash Golf Club last week.

The well attended second qualifying round was played on Thursday in perfect playing conditions.


Leading the field on 42 Stableford points were the duo of Greg Elliot and Brian Galgut, followed by Yoav Shenhav and Yehudah Levy on 40 points.

Gidon Eilat and Leon Eting had 39 points and on 38 Stableford points was Eliezer Peleg, coowner of the Ga’ash club, playing with Israel’s former soccer star, Haim Revivo.

Nearest to the Pin prize, sponsored by the Greenfield Restro Bar at the Ga’ash Golf Club, went to Mark Joffe.

EuroAsia, the importers of Rolex watches, remain sponsors of the tournament and provided the players with gifts and culinary delights throughout the day. One lucky player will have the opportunity to win a Rolex watch with a hole-in-one on the ninth hole.

The final of the I.P. tournament will be played on June 17 and the ESRA tournament on the June 23.
