Everyone expected 2003 World Champion Lee Korzits to be Israel's representative at the windsurfing competition in Beijing, but 19-year-old Davidovich consistently finished ahead of her opponent over the past year and claimed Israel's single berth in the Olympic competition. Davidovich clinched her trip to China by finishing in the top 10 at the Palma de Majorca competition in March. The best result of her career to date came at last year's European Championships in which she finished in 15th place. Davidovich ended January's World Championships in 26th position. The expectations from Davidovich at Beijing are quite low and should she finish in the top 10 it would nothing short of amazing. She is, however, extremely young and at the very least is guaranteed to gain some experience in China ahead of future Olympics.
