Irina Risenzon finished the final of the Individual All-Around Rhythmic Gymnastics competition in 9th position on Saturday.
The 20-year-old, who ended the qualification round in eighth place on Friday, amassed an overall score of 66.775 in her rope, hoops, clubs and ribbon exercises and was extremely happy with her performance.
"I'm delighted by finishing ninth. This is what I deserve and I have no complaints," Risenzon said.
"I've been dreaming of taking part in the Olympics since the age of 10 and I'm pleased by simply being here."
Russia's Evgeniya Kanaeva won gold in the individual all-around competition, posting the high score in all four rotations of the event.
Kanaeva got identical scores of 18.850 on her rope and hoop routines before wowing the judges with a club routine that earned her a finals-high 18.950. The routine included a nifty move that involved balancing a club on her ankle while rotating her body around on the mat.
Clad in bright pink with a matching ribbon, she finished the competition with a routine that gave her a total of 75.500 and the convincing win.
Inna Zhukova of Belarus scored 71.925 points for the silver and Anna Bessonova of Ukraine had 71.875 for her second straight bronze.
17-year-old Neta Rivkin ended the individual competition in 14th position on Friday, doing better than expected and ensuring each and every one of Israel's representatives in the Rhythmic Gymnastics competitions accomplished their goals.
